Welcome to the 2009-2010 Iowa City West Trojan Wrestling Club. Our club has a tradition of producing national champions, national All-Americans, state champions, and state placers. Additionally, club members have established Iowa City West High School as one of the top wrestling programs in the state and the country. Last season, West High finished second in both the Iowa State High School traditional and dual team tournaments. This marks the fifth consecutive year that West High has finished 1st or 2nd at these tournaments. Additionally, West High was ranked nationally in the top 40 for a fourth year in a row. The high school team's success is a result of skills developed, dedication of members, and family atmosphere of Trojan Wrestling Club programs. We invite you and your child to become a part of this tradition by joining the Trojan Wrestling Club's War Hammer Division.

The Trojan Wrestling Club is designed to teach wrestling by providing developmentally appropriate opportunities through intelligently structured practices and a well balanced competitive schedule. The fundamental skills developed through participation in this club will lead to success in youth, junior high, and high school wrestling.

The Trojan Wrestling Club's War Hammer Club has separate programs for the novice and advanced athlete:

• Trojan Wrestling Club's War Hammer - Beginner Club program is designed for Kindergarten through 6th grade athletes with two or less years of competitive experience. • Trojan Wrestling Club's War Hammer - Competitive Club program is intended for 2nd through 8th grade athletes with more than two years of competitive experience. Session 1 practices begin on Monday, October 19, 2009. For more information, click on the Competitive Club Flyer.
